Its hard in our 24/7, online, social media news environment not to be overwhelmed with all the struggles going on in our world. Rather than letting it get us down this holiday season I’d like to take a different angle - All the technology that makes our lives so instantaneously gratified also delivers us many moments of great happiness, especially around the holiday season.
Everyone knows I love sports, so an image of Dallas Cowboys players playing video games with sick kids in North Texas hospitals or Tim Tebow and Good Morning America paying shoppers bills at Walmart makes us all happy, and we can thank social and online media sharing for helping us get the word out and encouraging us to do more for others. In other words, take to heart the wonderful stories you read and watch next time you’re on Facebook and Twitter, share them with others, and share your happiness with those in need.
